Congressional Candidate John Dennis Announces A Series Of San Francisco Telephone Town Hall Meetings To Discuss Issues

Press Release

Date: Oct. 12, 2010
Location: San Francisco, CA

Congressional Candidate John Dennis (CA 8th District) announced today he will hold a series of telephone town hall ("teletownhall") meetings in October discuss the major issues facing San Francisco voters in the district.

The teletownhall meetings will focus on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the San Francisco and the national jobless rate, Washington's failed economic policies, and the growing burden of debt on our families.

"Our country is facing serious challenges stemming from the financial crisis of 2008 and Washington's reckless disregard for spending restraint," said John Dennis, a San Francisco entrepreneur and businessman. "Washington's failed policies have only stalled full recovery for the families and businesses in our district."

Teletownhall meetings have become popular as the technology allows candidates to reach out and simultaneously connect with tens of thousands of constituents. The teletownhall conference calls allow participants to ask questions and interact with the candidate.

"Through these teletownhall meetings, I'll be able to discuss with the voters the key issues facing San Franciscans and the country, something I believe Nancy Pelosi has failed to do," added John Dennis. "I look forward to hearing their concerns, and I want them to understand how I will finally represent them as the representative in Congress they deserve."

Voters in the district will be invited to join the teletownhall meetings through randomly generated calls to households during the evening hours. Those voters wishing to participate will be given instructions on how to join the teletownhall meetings.
